Our Wednesday night service this week is dedicated to discussing what we can do to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. I sure hope it will be more than just talk.
Looks like we'll be getting about 1,000 evacuees here in Arizona. Looks like an opportunity to me!

I am encouraged by the examples of fellowship and gratitude by our latest visitors. Many have expressed a desire to put down roots in the Valley, in large part due to the warm welcome they received.
I'm encouraged, too. I might get the chance to minister to some of them - I look forward to listening to what they're going through and to give them an encouraging word.
Hey, I wouldn't even be too terribly upset if LSU won the game on Saturday (we can just say, "Well, they were ranked #5."
